Intake Screen

Description

Intake Screen consists of wedge wire screen, connection flange, backwash device which has high strength and minimum weight. It use for protecting the aquatic life at the intake and allow to withdraw water uninterruptedly from lakes, rivers and oceans at a low and uniform velocity. Our company could design customized intake filter screen per different requirements.

Working principle

The Intake Screen is connected to the end of the pump in the water source. All sucked water must pass through the screen before entering the water inlet pipe. The screen prevents debris from entering and causes high maintenance costs in the system. The pump discharge return line drives two continuously rotating spray bars to spray water onto the screen within a working pressure range of 2.8 to 4.5 bar (40 to 65 psig) and spray debris away from the screen. The Intake Screen has no external moving parts. It can be installed at any height without affecting operation.
