Whitewater Filter

Description

The whitewater filter is used for solid-liquid separation. It uses a high flow rate, fine filter screen, and centrifugal screening to remove suspended particles with a diameter larger than the pore size of the filter screen without being affected by particle density. 

Working Principle

The influent water passes through the water inlet pipe located in the center of the equipment to the horizontal water distribution pipe and then is sprayed on the inner surface of the rotating filter screen through the water nozzle in a tangential direction, forming a series of overlapping liquid films.  The low centrifugal force generated by the rotating filter screen is enough to make the white water pass through the filter screen at a high flow rate to trap the fibers, and the retained concentrate slides down along the inner wall of the filter screen. 

The centrifugal force generated by the continuous rotation of the filter, the high water inlet pressure, and the flushing water at a certain angle outside the rotating filter can cause the concentrate to slip off.  The flushing water on the outside of the rotating filter screen promotes the concentrate to slip off and serves as high-pressure backwash water to clean the screen holes. The white water processed by the white water filter can replace clean water as cleaning water.

The combination of the rotating speed of the filter screen and the jetting speed of the water inlet nozzle can make the whitewater filter retain some particles with a diameter smaller than the aperture of the filter screen.  Although the whitewater filter is not explicitly used to remove fine fibers and fillers, it still has a specific removal rate, so the white water treated by the whitewater filter will not block the nozzles when used as flushing water.
