Externally-fed Rotary Drum Filter
Description
The Externally-fed Rotary Drum Filter can continuously and effectively remove the suspended solids in water. It is mainly used in sewage pre-treatment or industrial screening process. In some treatment process, the filtered sewage can remove 30% to 60% of organic or inorganic suspended solids, greatly reducing the treatment load of the subsequent process.
Working principle
Sewage (or other raw water) flows into the drum from the front of the drum surface and flows out from the lower part. The suspended solids in the sewage are retained on the rotating drum surface. With the rotation of the drum surface, the intercepted dirt is sent from the water inlet to the discharge on the other side, and shoveled off by the discharge mechanism. Manually control the ball valve at the inlet of the cleaning water pipe. When the slags in the sewage block the drum surface, open the cleaning water tank to clean the drum surface. The cleaning water must be clean tap water without impurities to avoid blocking the nozzle.
